Welcome! We are very excited to be introducing you to the LCBC Church Blog. This is something we’ve been working on, thinking through, and praying about for a while and we are glad to now let you check it out!

Here’s what you can expect. At first we will be just posting twice a week, Tuesdays and Thursday (besides this week). Tuesdays will usually focus on some thoughts from the past weekend and Thursdays will be all about sharing stories of life change, talking about different ministry opportunities, serving opportunities, and posts that help set up the weekend.

What can you do now? Check out the blog and poke around some of the current posts, check out the different items in the menu, and let us know what you think.

We know some people like to get emails of posts and not have to check a website everyday to look for updates. If you’d like to do that, check out the subscribe via email option in the top right.

Also, at LCBC we value hearing stories. For us, it’s a great way to hear how God is working in your life. At times, we love to share those stories as well. Sometimes the best thing someone can hear on the weekend is someone else’s story of life change and seeing how God has been working in their life. We have an option on the site for you to submit a story. If you do this the story is kept private and if it’s something we’d like to share or use, we’ll contact you.

    So is this a place to ‘discuss’ the daily readings or kind of an open forum for anything anyone wants to talk about? :)

    I’m excited about this new format for the daily reading. Is there a way to read the text without leaving this sight? The link for the Bible text takes me to another sight and discussion outside of the LCBC Blog. Get’s a bit confusing, (or is it just me?)

      Thom, right now it takes you to YouVersion. We figured that’s better then trying to replicate all the passages in one post which start to look a little overwhelming and confusing. When you click the link it should open it in a new window. Are you viewing the site from your computer or a mobile device?

        computer…I got confused because of the comments and links to other blogs that appear on the right hand side of the passages. Easy to go off into blogasphere and never return to LCBC.
